Nairobi - Kenyans on Twitter have condemned the Saturday’s confrontation between Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko and Nairobi Women Rep, Rachael Shebesh saying that the two leaders behaved like kids.
This is after Sonko’s supporters stormed Caribea hotel and assaulted Shebesh. Property worth KES 250 000 was also destroyed in the saga.
The squabble is over a KES 8.5 million Range Rover which Sonko allegedly bought Shebesh, The Standard reports.
However, Kenyans feel that there is more to the drama than meets the eye.
Here are some of the tweets posted over the issue:
@droid254: Sonko and Shebesh are a disgrace to the society
@Rube_Mfalme: If sonko wants to be the governor in 2017 he should start behaving now... It ain't that far.
@RobertAlai : Sonko found Shebesh with some young men. Women wanted to beat Shebesh telling her they didn't elect her to be a Cougar.
@GidiOgidi: The Sonko Vs Shebesh RangeRover saga should be a lesson to Nairobi Women, That Vitz is not yet yours unless u have logbook on yo name:
@itsimpson_ : I wonder what the family of both Mike Sonko and Shebesh are saying about this whole gun drama,is it love triangle?
@jmatei : The Government should create Sonko and Shebesh day...a day when they show their drama to the public.
Immediately after the incident, Sonko updated his Facebook page saying that his life is in danger.
Both leaders are expected to record statements over the issue Monday.
