Nairobi - The Director of Prosecution Keriako Tobiko has ordered the Inspector
General of Police to probe Starehe MP Maina Kamanda and her Othaya
counterpart Mary Wambui over alleged hate speech remarks.
The Law Society Kenya (LSK) Secretary Apollo Mboya had asked the DPP to probe the two after they were quoted uttering hate messages in an article published in one of the local dailies, The Standard reports.
He said the remarks by the two MPs could plunge the country into violence.
They have added to the growing group of politicians and activists being investigated over incidences of hate speech.
