Kajiado Central heads to the ballot

Kajiado - Voters in Kajiado Central constituency have began voting to elect the next MP to replace Joseph Nkaissery, who resigned and took up a cabinet post after he was appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The voting exercise started early Monday morning after polling stations were opened, and no hitches have been reported so far, The Standard reported.
The three contestants battling out for the post are Patrick Tutui of the newly formed Jubilee Alliance Party, Elijah Memusi of the Orange Democratic Movement, and Kuntai Nkashuma, an independent candidate.

According to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, the constituency has a total of 39,545 registered voters across five County Assembly Wards in 102 polling stations.
