Kiambu - Kiambu governor, William Kabogo is a troubled man after MPs from the county vowed to support traders who are planning to impeach him over increased levies.
The MPs who joined the traders who were protesting in Kikuyu said Kabogo needs to be taught a lesson and that they would be among the first people to append their signatures to impeach Kabogo since he had refused to cooperate with them, The Standard reports.
The MPs accused the county’s assembly members of putting their interests first instead of defending the people who elected them.
Kabogo has been surrounded with controversies since his election in last year’s polls, the latest being accusations from impeached speaker, Nick Ndichu who said Kabogo orchestrated his impeachment through propaganda and bribery of MCAs.
He alleged that some MCAs revealed to him that Kabogo was behind his downfall.
