Butere - The Jubilee government has been accused of frustrating efforts by National Police Service Commission (NPSC) chairman Johnston Kavuludi to transform the police service.
Cord leaders Raila Odinga and his counterpart Moses Wetangula, referred to the bizarre incident where a blood stained human head and hands were found abandoned together with a threatening note at NPSC offices as part of a plot to have Kavuludi abandon his job, Daily Nation reports.
According to Raila, Kavuludi’s position was meant to ensure a smooth running of operations in NPSC therefore, there should be no friction at all.
On his part, Wetangula said two bills seeking to reduce Kavuludi’s powers had been tabled in Parliament and warned the Jubilee government that they will not succeed even if they have numbers.
