Jirongo: I have quit G7 Alliance

10 October 2011, 16:30

The Daily Nation reports that Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo said that he and William Ruto (Eldoret North) and Eugene Wamalwa (Saboti) were no longer part of the G7 Alliance.

According to Jirongo President Kibaki would settle on either Finance minister Uhuru Kenyatta or Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka for President in 2012.

He stated that he and (William) Ruto and are considering, one of which might be coming up with a formidable alliance outside the G7 group.

Government Chief Whip Johnstone Muthama however maintained that (William) Ruto remained in the G7 Alliance, as former assistant minister Omingo Magara downplayed Jirongo’s statements.
