IEBC to hold a mock election

12 February 2013, 14:01

Nairobi - Daily Nation reports the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is on Monday set to hold a mock election in 1,450 wards around the country.

In a statement from the electoral body, the voting simulation to be conducted in selected polling centers in 47 counties is part of the ongoing civic education to help voters crack the complexity of this year’s voting process.

According to IEBC, the exercise is meant to demonstrate the voting process to the public ahead of the March 4 General Election and voters will be taken through the process of marking their ballot papers and the process of results transmission.
