Nairobi - Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Isaack Hassan has apologized for the delayed release of election results.
According to Hassan, the commission was tirelessly tallying the results that they had received, and they will be relayed today.
He admitted that they had experienced some errors, but was quick to assure Kenyans that the results will be accurate.
“The results we are announcing are credible and reflect the will of the people who voted in those constituencies,” he said.
On his part, IEBC CEO James Oswago dispelled rumours going round that he had been arrested or dead but admitted that he was stressed and tired.
Oswago said that the commission has teams that work on results from different regions adding that they work independently.
“We have now received all the work and is now at different stages being worked on. The commission will provide all the documents that will be needed by the public to be looked at,” he said.
