IEBC announces by-elections dates in Bungoma and Lamu

Nairobi - The Independent Electoral Commission (IEBC) has announced by-election dates in Bungoma and Lamu counties.

A statement from the IEBC said Lamu by-election will be held on December 2 and in Bungoma, it will be on December 19.

Voters in Lamu will go to the polls to elect their governor and an MP for Lunga Lunga constituency, while in Bungoma it will be a senatorial race, The Standard reports.

The commission also said that by-election for Nyaribari Chache and Bomachoge Borabu will be held on the same date with that of Bungoma county.
