Govt transfers devolved functions to 13 counties

Nairobi - Thirteen counties have been given powers to take over key duties from the government after being cleared the Transition Authority.
According to Daily Nation, some of the counties that have been allowed to take over devolved functions are Kisumu, Bomet, Mombasa, Kiambu, Kericho, Embu and Garrissa.
However, some may be faced with financial challenges to carry out these functions because their budget proposals have not been approved by the Controller of Budget who says that they have included unauthorised requisitions in their spending plans.
