Mombasa - The Standard reports governors are planning to amend the Constitution in a referendum in order to get more funds to run county activities.
They are seeking to increase the amount at least three times the one prescribed in the Constitution to enable them meet the wishes of Kenyans and smoothly fund projects in their respective counties.
According to the Council of Governors chairman, Isaac Ruto, they will next month hold countrywide rallies to gain support from Kenyans on the matter.
