Governors remain firm on calls for referendum

Nairobi - Governors on Monday remained firm with their call for a national referendum seeking to allocate more funds to county governments.
According to The Standard, Deputy President William Ruto's efforts to convince Jubilee governors to change their minds turned futile after a five-hour closed-door meeting.
The meeting was held at Ruto's official residence in Karen on Monday.
