Nairobi - Deputy President William Ruto is set to meet with the governors after the county chiefs accused the government of dishonesty in what is expected to be a stormy face off.
The governors were angered by the decision of the government to retain KES 29 billion for county roads and publish a partial list of counties to take over devolved functions The Standard reports.
Monday's meeting is meant to be a joint consultative meeting to iron out the framework on the transfer of some functions from the government to the counties.
