Gitura quits to vie for Muranga Senate seat

Nairobi - According to Daily Nation reports, the Kenyan ambassador to Belgium Kembi Gitura has resigned to concentrate on his campaigns for the Murang'a County Senate seat.
Gitura, who is also a former Kiharu MP, Thursday said he had stepped down from his position to seek the Senator seat.
Gitura went on to add that he resigned with effect from July 30 and was ready to take on other contestants including former Kanu Secretary General Joseph Kamotho.
