Fraudsters in SMS con using Uhuru’s name

Nairobi - The Kenya police has been urged by The National Alliance (TNA) to investigate fraudsters using the party’s name to extort money from Kenyans, under guise of supporting Uhuru Kenyatta’s presidential bid.
Speaking to Capital News, Onyango Oloo, TNA's Secretary General revealed that a group calling itself Supreme Candidate Lobby Group has been sending text messages from short code 3839 asking people if they support the Deputy Prime Minister for the presidency.
Oloo said that over the past one week the group has been extorting money from members of the public purporting to be associated with the DPM.
