Nairobi - Several meetings were held at the weekend between Wiper MPs and Kamba Council of Elders to help to prevail on Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka to accept a deal with Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
According to Daily Nation, the VP , who had all along insisted he would not sacrifice his presidential bid for anyone, was convinced by the elders that his best chances of winning the elections lay in teaming up with the Orange party.
The elders held lengthy meetings with the MPs and Musyoka’s advisers on Sunday evening at his Karen home.
