Nairobi - The government will not arrest and hand over journalist Walter Barasa to the International Criminal Court.
Leader of Majority in Parliament Aden Duale, dismissed the request to have Barasa arrested and surrendered to The Hague based court, saying there were competent courts in the country that are able to try suspects charged in foreign courts, The Star reports.
Duale led MPs affiliated to the Jubilee alliance in criticizing former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan on his warning about Kenya's withdrawal from the Rome Statute.
