Nairobi - Ferdinand Waititu is free to vie in the upcoming Kabete Parliamentary by-election after High Court dismissed a petition challenging his candidature.
Benson Ritho had sought to bar Waititu from vying for the MP seat on grounds that he lacks integrity to hold a public office.
According to Ritho, Waititu grabbed his 50 acres of land in Embakasi and used his political might to frustrate him, The Standard reported.
He also accused the former Embakasi MP of hate speech, when he ordered for the eviction of the Maasai from Kayole.

In his ruling, High Court Judge George Odunga dismissed the petition saying that the decision to bar a candidate from an election on issues of integrity before elections lies with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
