Turkana - County government officials from Turkana and West Pokot have been accused of sabotaging a peace rally at Turkwel skipped by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
The MPs led by Kacheliba MP Mark Lomunokol, blamed the officials from the two counties of causing the confusion that led to cancellation of the tour by the head of state and his deputy, The Standard reports.
Lomunokol termed the move by some of the officials as cheap politics, as they sabotaged an important function targeting to bring a solution to the elusive peace in the region.
