Counties seek loans in budget plans

Nairobi - Daily Nation reports governors have tabled budget estimates with huge financing gaps hoping that they will be allowed by the national government to borrow to plug the shortfall.
KES 22.3 billion budget estimates has been unveiled by Mombasa County for 2013/2014.
Presenting the estimates, Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho, noted that he would be seeking loans from development banks and donors to fill the shortfall which is estimated to be KES 13.9 billion.
