Cord seeks MPs support for referendum
28 August 2013, 08:43
Nairobi - Cord is planning to hold a retreat to get support from MPs in its push for a national referendum to amend the Constitution.
MPs had refused to support the calls with fears that governors will have more powers over them but Cord is seeking to persuade them to get their support, The Standard reports.
The Council of Governors and Cord have dismissed Jubilee’s strategies to block the referendum saying that they will soldier on for devolution to succeed.
