Cord opposed to police law

02 July 2013, 08:24

Mombasa - Daily Nation reports Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) MPs have opposed government's move that seeks to reduce the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) powers and empower the Inspector-General.

According to deputy Minority Leader in Parliament Jakoyo Midiwo, there are no concrete reasons that are being given by the government to transfer powers from NPSC to Inspector General David Kimaiyo.
