Cord leaders vow to oppose ICC motion

Nairobi - Cord leaders have decided to oppose Jubilee MPs motion seeking to have Kenya withdrawn from the Rome Statute.
Speaking on Thursday in a meeting chaired by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, the 100 MPs and senators from the coalition said the move is inconsistent and may do away with the aim of the Kenyan Constitution, The Standard reports.
On his part, former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka faulted the move saying that Kenya may end up without laws if it pulls out of the Rome Statute.
He termed the recalling of Parliament for a special sitting by the MPs to discuss a motion on ICC as odd and selfish aimed at defeating the course of justice.
