Nairobi - Cord MPs have been angered by reports that the judge who nullified former Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula’s election had asked Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Keriako Tobiko, to prosecute him for committing an electoral offence.
According to the MPs, Judge Francis Gikonyo should have issued the order to have Wetang’ula charged on the same day he delivered his ruling on the petition, The Standard reports.
The angered MPs said the move was aimed at blocking Wetang’ula from defending his lost seat.
