Clear backlog, Kibaki urges Judges

Nairobi – President Mwai Kibaki has underscored the need
to clear the backlog of cases before the country’s judicial system.
President Kibaki said that there was need to recruit more judges and
expressed optimism that out of a large pool of qualified legal
professionals in the country, more judicial staff would be hired to
ensure appropriate staffing levels in the Judiciary.
The President encouraged young legal practitioners to apply for the jobs once they are advertised.
