Machakos - Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga was turned away at a function where he was supposed to handover motorbikes to chiefs.
Raila was in Kathiani together with other CORD members to preside the handover of 21 motorbikes to chiefs who instead did not show up, The Standard reports.
The motorbikes are said to have been bought by area MP Robert Mbui, using the Constituency Development Fund money.

The leaders were forced to move the function from the Sub County Commissioner’s office to a nearby ground after their notification to use the compound was turned down.
The motorbikes, which had GK registration numbers, were finally given to village managers and elders with Raila condemning the incident.
