Nairobi - The Standard reports a parliamentary committee that will vet nominees for Cabinet positions has been approved by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
The two also held separate talks with Presidents Joseph Kabila (Democratic Republic of Congo), Paul Kagame (Rwanda), and Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud (Somalia) at State House, Nairobi.
Even as they hosted their high profile guests, they are understood to have approved their Jubilee Coalition nominees to three powerful parliamentary committees critical in the business of Parliament, which opens on Tuesday.
