CORD and Jubilee row over referendum
21 August 2013, 12:02
Nairobi - The move by the Jubilee government to denounce the push for a constitutional amendment as CORD vowed to press on with the referendum campaign is setting the stage for a clash between the two factions.
The Standard reports that former PM Raila Odinga held a meeting with ODM's National Executive Council on Tuesday and they resolved to support CORD's push for a constitutional vote to scale up the allocation to counties.
Meanwhile Deputy President William Ruto met with senators allied to Jubilee and they resolved to use an alternative means to address other Senate grievances.
