Bungoma - Bungoma County senatorial candidates embarked on the final lap to woo voters as the campaign period came to an end ahead of the by-election to be held on Thursday.
Former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, former Vice- President, Kalonzo and other Cord members campaigned for their candidate Moses Wetang’ula, while former deputy Prime Minister and Amani Coalition leader, Musalia Mudavadi, former minister Eugene Wamalwa, and Bungoma governor Kenneth Lusaka drummed up support for former minister Musikari Kombo, Daily Nation reports.
Political analyst David Makali, who is vying for the seat as an independent candidate and former Bumula MP, Bifwoli Wakoli also campaigned in the county for support in the election.
Raila accused the Jubilee government of trampling the rights of Kenyans and asked the voters to elect Wetang’ula to enable the coalition to continue to fight for their right.
On the other hand, Mudavadi asked the voters to elect Kombo, and told Raila to respect other peoples’ political stands.
