Machakos - The High Court has dismissed the petition challenging the election of Alfred Mutua as Machakos County Governor.
The petition had been filed by former Assistant Minister Wavinya Ndeti who was directed to pay KES 4.5 million to the respondents as cost of litigation, Daily Nation reports.
Ndetei claimed that Mutua’s election was marred with a lot of irregularities adding that Mutua committed an electoral offence on the eve of the Election Day by pasting his campaign posters on roads leading to polling stations.
