48 politicians under watch over hate speech

Nairobi - Forty-eight politicians from Central, Rift Valley, North Eastern and Coast provinces are among those on the watchlist by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) for allegedly fanning ethnic tensions in the country over the last six months.
In a brief to Capital News, NCIC Chairman Mzalendo Kibunjia said that the 48, among them Cabinet Ministers, had already been served with cessation notices warning them of their tribal undertones.
Kibunjia however declined to name and shame the individuals saying the commission could not take such ‘drastic’ action before giving them a chance to tow the line.
