Crimes using police officer firearms on the rise

Nairobi – Crimes related to police officer firearms have increased over the last two months, reports the Daily Nation.
At least three police officers were shot and one other critically injured in just one week.

A police officer recovered a G3 rifle from a dumpsite in Umoja Inner Core, this is just one day after Capital city Senator, Mike Sonko’s body guard was killed.
The G3 rifle confirmed the firearm belonged to government.
Thursday last week an AK-47 rifle, a Ceska pistol, handcuffs and jungle uniforms were found in separate incidents in Kayole, Ruiru and Nanyuki.
Last week Thursday Constable Robert Isaboke of the Pangani Police Station was killed by his colleague and dumped into a trench.
