Wetang'ula meets Britain over IEBC protests

Nairobi - CORD co principal Moses Wetang'ula has met with British representatives over the state of the IEBC.
The Star reported that the Bungoma Senator met British High Commissioner Nic Hailey to discuss political
reforms. The two discussed the rising political tension ahead of next
year’s general election.
Wetang’ula represented CORD. The two discussed
how to reform the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to

Earlier this month, US Ambassador Robert Godec,
Hailey and nine other envoys from the West, issued a statement calling
for dialogue to build confidence in the electoral commission.

electoral system. While the responsibility for doing so rests first with
elected and appointed officials, this is a challenge for all Kenyans

However, a few says later, Citizen TV reported that a court granted CORD the chance to protest the presence and actions of the IEBC.
