WATCH: Stray lion pounces on man at Cabanas, injures him

18 March 2016, 09:29

Nairobi - A stray lion that was strolling along Mombasa Road Friday morning has allegedly attacked one person, injuring him.

The lion that was captured on camera is seen walking towards a group of people where it pounces on one, causing panic among other road users.

However, Kenya Wildlife Service has confirmed that they have already captured the lion and the injured man taken to hospital.

They said in a tweet: "Three @kwskenya units have taken control of a lion incident in Nairobi National Park. A man who was injured by the lion taken to hospital."

Watch the video here:

This comes a day after another pride strayed to homes in Syokimau, killing over 100 goats.

Speaking to Citizen TV, Moses Timaiyo, the owner of the goats decried the frequent attacks by wild animals from the neighbouring Nairobi National park and called for quick government intervention.
