WATCH: Morris Mwenda back on the streets, speaks out

26 March 2016, 20:41

Nairobi – The homeless boy, Morris Mwendwa who stole the hearts and minds of Kenyans is back in the street protesting against the mistreatment he had received with the shelter that took him in.

According to The Star he revealed how him and the other children are being treated.

He also denied allegations that he was adopted by Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko.

When contacting the founder of Homeless of Nairobi (HoN), Shamit Patel he was not available for comment.

However a stakeholder within the organisation, Sam Gichuru came to their defence stating that the children often runaway during the weekend but return on Monday after begging.

In February Morris Mwenda was recorded by a volunteer of the Homeless of Nairobi charity group, articulating words in a manner unlike street children.
