WATCH: Distribution of free laptops to kick off next week

Nairobi - The distribution of free Class One laptops kicks off next week in fulfillment of a pledge made by the President in the run-up to the 2013 elections.
Pupils in 150 schools will receive their laptops in the pilot phase of the project Monday, with the government planning to conduct the exercise in two phases.
The first batch of 600 000 devices will be delivered to 11 000 schools starting in June this year. The second batch will be delivered to the other 11 000 schools by June next year,” ICT Cabinet Secretary, Jose Mucheru says.
According to Daily Nation, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) will supply laptops to 21 counties while Moi University will supply to the other 26 counties.
