Violence ensues between Deputy Principle and irate parents

30 March 2016, 11:03

Migori – An irate group of Nyikendo Primary School parents stormed the grounds of a neighbouring secondary school after their children were blocked from using the playing field.

According to Kenyans a violent scuffle ensued between Secondary School Deputy Principle, John Hamisi and the irate parents when he attempted to engage them.

Primary school chairman, Washington Omondi however explained that the playing field are fenced off because the secondary school are sharing it with Nyikendo Primary.

It is yet to be confirmed the extent of the scuffle.

In February this year the same group of parents from Nyikendo Primary were involved in another confrontation with management when their children were sent home for failing to pay towards a teacher’s trip.

The trip was to applaud the teachers for their great performance however parents said they felt hustled and revealed that they are constantly being asked for money by head teacher.
