Isiolo - Police in Isiolo have arrested two teachers who are suspected to have been radicalizing the youth and recruiting for Al Shabaab.
The Primary School teachers were arrested on Monday evening and handed over to the Anti-terror police for further investigations.
Area CID confirmed the incident saying dozens of Primary and Secondary school students have gone missing across the county, Standard reports.
The government has over the years intensified crackdown on radical clerics, with reports indicating that Kenyan youth make up the largest contingent of foreign fighters in al Shabaab.
Two weeks ago, a Mombasa court sentenced another teacher to 20 years for radicalising his students.
On Tuesday, police arrested an NGO boss at Eastleigh Mall for funding a terror cell in Mandera County, which The Star says is linked to recruitment of youth to fight in the Somali based Al Shabaab terror group.
