Two lions spotted on Ngong Road

29 February 2016, 15:43

Nairobi - Two lions that are suspected to have escaped from the Nairobi National Park were Monday morning spotted wandering on Ngong road.

Confirming the incident on Twitter, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) said that a search team had already been dispatched to track them down.

According to Standard, the lions were spotted around 10.00am by police on patrol on the forest near the Southern bypass.

This comes only a week after six lions, including a lioness and her newborn cubs, escaped from the same park.

They were found in Kibera and safely returned to the park.

KWS have asked anyone with information about the two lions to call 0800597000.
