Nairobi - Strathmore University has set up a committee to probe the Nov 30 terror drill that left a female staff member dead and scores of students injured.
The 11-member team has been given seven days to complete the investigation and table recommendations before the University council, Daily Nation reports.
Police have already grilled various University staff including the VC, Prof Odhiambo, saying that the drill was badly arranged and violated several laws.

The University claimed that it had informed the Lang'ata Police Station officers, but the police Spokesman, Charles Owino maintained that the University did not inform the central government as well as Police headquarters of the exercise.
Some jumped from as high as the third floor to secure safety, leading to the dead of 33-year-old Esther Kidambi who worked at the University’s catering department.
So far, 8 members of staff have asked to resign over the failed terror drill, with the institution pledging to take care of any financial implications of the exercise.
