Kisumu - Police in Kisumu have arrested a Standard 8 pupil who was found with drugs, weapons and police uniform.
The 16-year-old boy was reportedly arrested while selling bhang on Saturday during a swoop at Sewage Estate in Manyatta, but his two accomplices escaped.
According to Standard Digital, one of the teen’s accomplices fled while the other was away on a trip.
Cases of students peddling drugs and engaging in crime have been on the increase.
Last week, police raided a hostel at UoN where they recovered drugs and bloodstained knives believed to have been used in the recent violence following the disputed SONU election.

According to The Star, the operation was in response to claims by the National Authority for Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) chair, John Mututho that there existed a drug cartel in the University.
