Nairobi - Just a day after a man died of yellow fever at the KNH, another case has been reported in Nairobi’s South C Estate.
The man who is said to have arrived from Luanda Angola has been isolated after showing signs of the infection.
Those who received the injection are mainly travelers, The Star reports.
On Tuesday, a 31-year-old man died of multiple organ failure at KNH where he was being treated for yellow fever.
He had shown signs of joint pains, blood-stained stool, fever and vomiting.
The Ministry of Health urged Kenyans to be on high alert and called for mandatory screening of travelers especially those arriving from high-risk countries, Daily Nation reports.
According to health officials, about 3,800 people have received the
yellow fever jab in the last one month, with the government saying that
there are enough vaccines in stock.
