Nairobi - Opposition leader, Raila Odinga is seeking the help of President Uhuru Kenyatta in a suit filed against him by former devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru.
Waiguru filed the suit on September 29, 2015 over remarks made by Raila linking her to the NYS scandal.
Raila had also accused the President of giving Waiguru preferential treatment by failing to ask her to step aside over the KES 791 million theft at the NYS.

This was after Waiguru’s name failed to appear in a list of corrupt 175 State and public officials who were asked to step aside for investigations, despite the corrupt dealings in her ministry.
Waiguru however sued Raila for defamation, saying she was a whistleblower in the NYS saga.
Raila denied the defamation charges, The Star reports, and instead said he would call Uhuru to testify for him in court.
So far, 11 people have been charged over the NYS saga.
