Police fire at CORD supporters after Madakara Celebrations

Nakuru – Police fired tear gas at opposition Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) after the 53rd Madakara Celebration rally on Wednesday.
According to The Star they were attempting to disperse a protest that had allegedly ensued however the details are not clear.

Kenyans on Wednesday came together to celebrate the 53rd Madaraka Day to commemorate the day Kenya attained internal self-rule.
