Kiambu - Parents at Kambui school for the deaf in Githunguri, Kiambu County have accused the school head and his deputy of harassing pupils.
The parents claim that the two administrators have been using Administration Police officers to punish their children, NTV reports, sometimes even locking them up in cells.
Speaking during a meeting they organized recently to discuss the matter, one of the parents revealed that her son had suffered burns and fractures recently as part of disciplinarian action.
They are now calling for investigations and action taken against the responsible teachers.
Caning is illegal in Kenyan schools, following a ban that was effected in 2001 by the then Education Minister, Kalonzo Musyoka.
