Over 6,000 students affected by school fires countrywide

20 July 2016, 14:41

Nairobi - The recent arson attacks in schools have affected over 6,000 students, the government says.

This follows a wave of students’ unrest in the country over reasons that have not yet been established.

Some students had cited the extension of second term as the reason behind the attacks, but other stakeholders have blamed the vice on indiscipline, clan politics and teachers who have overstayed at their stations.
