Over 200 000 KCPE candidates might not join Secondary School

31 December 2015, 08:02

Nairobi - Over 200 000 candidates who sat their KCPE exams this year might not be able to join Form One due to limited spaces in Secondary Schools.

There are only about 700 000 spaces available in Form One, against the 925 080 candidates who received their KCPE results Wednesday.

Some 2 709 students will not get their results as they engaged in examination irregularities.

Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i disclosed that the Form One selection process will commence on January 21.

According to Daily Nation, those who will miss places in Secondary Schools will be forced to join polytechnics.
