New twist in Willie Kimani’s murder probe

Nairobi - Detectives investigating the murder of lawyer Willie Kimani and his two associates have inched closer to unveiling the killers.
This was after the investigations indicated that the three were killed in an open field in Syokimau, somewhere behind Mastermind Company.
According to Standard, sources had told the probe team that the crime was committed by six men.
On Tuesday, an AP officer attached to Syokimau Chief’s camp was remanded over the ongoing probe into the trio’s murder.

The DPP ordered that Sergeant Leonard Maina Mwangi be remanded for 13 days over fears that he might interfere with witnesses.
Three other officers linked to the murder are also in police custody as investigations continue.
Meanwhile, the Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery is expected to appear before the Parliamentary Committee on National Security and Administration to answer queries on the murder of the murder of the three men, The Star reports.
