Man sets himself on fire after wife fails to cook him fish

Bungoma - A middle-aged man was on Wednesday admitted at the Bungoma County Referral hospital with burns after his attempt to kill self over food failed.

Ibrahim Makoha set himself on fire after his wife failed to cook him fish.

According to The Star, the two quarreled for a while before engaging in a fight that forced the wife to run away.

Further reports say that after the fight, Makoha locked himself inside the house before setting it on fire.

He had burned his buttocks and head by the time neighbours pulled him out of his burning bed and rushed him to the hospital.

He will be charged for attempted suicide once he recovers.
