Man in Nyamira County lynched over murder of children

Nairobi – A man in Nyamira County went mental and murdered his two children in a fit of rage.

According to the Daily Nation Bugesi Okero in a fit of rage murdered his two children who were staying with him after him and his wife separated six months ago.

As a result Okero was lynched by a mob who were left shocked by the incident.

Okero’s brother, Richard Tai said he was told by a neighbour that his brother had been caught by angry villagers who killed him and set him ablaze.

Richard went on to tell the media that his brother had been acting strangely and had also destroyed their parents’ home. “We have been trying to reconcile him with his runaway wife in vain. We don’t know why he chased her away,” added  Tai.

The Nyamira South OCPD, Riko Ngare shocked by the incident urged the public against taking the law into their own hands.

The body was taken to the Nyamira Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.

Meanwhile business has been paralysed in Mitaboni market, Machakos County, as residents protested the murder of five guards on Wednesday night.

According to reports, the guards were killed while trying to prevent a robbery at one of the shops in the market.
